Canyon Ridge is Clopay's family of insulated steel doors with composite wood-look surfaces. Choose carriage-house designs for overlay detailing or Canyon Ridge Modern for a flatter contemporary look. Compare the construction and finish of the exact version; the family name alone does not tell you what is included.
Construction options
| Version | What changes |
|---|---|
| Carriage House 5-Layer | Insulated steel with composite cladding and overlays. |
| Carriage House 4-Layer | Insulated steel with composite overlays and exposed finished steel between them. |
| Modern | Contemporary plank designs, with window and accent options. |
Use the current Canyon Ridge product specification and Modern designs to confirm construction. Ultra-Grain describes a finish; it does not identify every layer of the door.
What to check before ordering
- View a sample of the grain and color in daylight.
- Compare the actual window configuration and thermal rating.
- Have the installer size the counterbalance system and confirm opener compatibility.
- Get the installed quote and warranty for the selected design.
Do sensors and myQ come with the door?
Safety sensors and phone control are opener features. A Canyon Ridge door does not automatically include an opener, a powered lock or myQ. Ask what the quote includes.
Care and repair
Composite surfaces reduce the refinishing work associated with real wood, but still need manufacturer-approved cleaning and finish care. A damaged overlay or section needs an exact model match. Avoid treating the composite face as ordinary sheet steel when touching up or painting.
