Clopay Gallery Steel is a grooved-panel sectional door with carriage-house styling. It comes in insulated and non-insulated constructions. Start with the layer and insulation option you need, then choose short or long panels, windows and a finish.
What changes between Gallery Steel options?
| Choice | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Construction | Steel-only, steel with insulation, or steel with insulation and a steel interior skin. |
| Insulation | Polystyrene or Intellicore polyurethane on selected models; ratings differ. |
| Panel length | Short or long grooved panels change the door's proportions. |
| Finish | Solid colors, wood-look and other factory finishes vary by configuration. |
Check the Gallery Steel specification for the exact option. The collection is not uniformly 2-inch Intellicore, and its current published insulation range tops out at R-18.4, not R-20.4.

Windows and hardware
Window layouts and decorative handles or strap hinges create the carriage look. They do not change its overhead operation. Ask how your selected glass affects privacy, thermal performance and the spring specification.

Gallery Steel or an overlay door?
Gallery uses grooves formed in the steel. Coachman and Canyon Ridge add composite detailing. Compare finish samples, insulation and the installed scope rather than assuming every carriage-style door has the same construction or price.
For the other collections, see the Clopay guide. Have the quote identify the exact Gallery model, glass, finish, hardware and warranty.
