"Overhead door" is another name for a garage door, the kind used on homes and businesses across Sacramento. 1A Garage Doors repairs and installs both residential and commercial overhead doors in the area.
What we work on
Sectional overhead doors in steel, aluminum, wood and fiberglass, plus the openers that run them. See garage door installation and garage door repair.

Keeping an overhead door working safely
Inspect for wear from the floor and keep the opening clear. Follow the door manual for lubrication, leaving tracks dry, and have a technician assess balance if the door is heavy, crooked or noisy. Never loosen springs, cable drums or bottom brackets, and do not pull the release on an open or damaged door.

What it costs
Repair and service visits carry a $45 diagnostic trip fee, with a written price before any work starts. New door estimates are free.
Common questions
Is an overhead door the same as a garage door?
Often, but the terms are not exact synonyms. Sectional overhead doors travel along ceiling tracks, while rolling doors coil above the opening. Overhead Door is also a brand name; our service offering does not imply we are its authorized dealer.
What sizes are available?
Standard single doors run about 8 to 10 feet wide at 7 feet tall; double doors run about 16 to 18 feet wide. Commercial sizing depends on the building.
