Do you replace broken torsion and extension springs?

Yes. Spring replacement is the repair we run most often, and we service both torsion systems, with springs on a shaft above the door, and extension systems, with springs along the side tracks. Each replacement is sized for the door's weight, dimensions and hardware, and we can discuss higher-cycle options if your door runs frequently.

What a spring visit includes

• Making the door safe and confirming what broke
• A written price for the correct spring or pair and any related hardware, approved by you before work starts
• Replacing cables or drums when they failed along with the spring
• Balancing the door by hand and setting the opener so it is not fighting the spring
• Testing the opener's safety reversal

Repair visits carry a $45 diagnostic trip fee, and our work carries a warranty on parts and labor.

When it is urgent

If a spring breaks while the door is open, or the door is stuck and the home cannot be secured, tell us on the call so it is handled as an emergency repair. Until the technician arrives, stop using the opener, do not pull the red release handle and keep people and cars out from under the door.
